According to a Grant County Sheriff's Office news release, on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, deputies with the GCSO responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Highway 180 East and Yucca Valley Drive.

Deputies arrived and provided immediate medical assistance to the occupants involved. One driver sustained injuries and was transported to Gila Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the second vehicle was evaluated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.

GCSO conducted a crash investigation and evidence of alcohol involvement was identified. The investigation remains active and any potential charges will be determined after completion of the investigation and review of all evidence.

Emergency personnel assisted those involved and cleared the roadway.

Grant County Sheriff's Office deputies responded Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m., to a crash involving two vehicles, a Lincoln sedan and a UPS delivery truck. GCSO staff told the Beat the crash occurred on Highway 180 near Arenas Valley Road (MM119), and resulted in injuries. At least one person was transported to Gila Regional Medical Center.
